2016, Bele Kumberger will make her Debut at the Bayreuther Festspiele under Andris Nelsons, under whom she also performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in 2015.
In summer 2014, she sang at the "Seefestspiele Mörbisch" and debuted as a "Blumenmädchen" in Wagners Parsifal at the "Salzburger Osterfestspiele" under Christian Thielemann and the "Staatskapelle Dresden" and at the Beijing Music Festival under Gustav Kuhn in 2013.
In 2012 she also performed for the first time with the "Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin" and the "Bamberger Symphoniker".
Bele Kumberger was born in Straubing and received her firs voice instruction with Margret Fierlbeck. Under the scholarship of the "Bayerische Singakademie", she was able to persue her studies with Manuela Dill in Munich. She studied with Professor Anneliese Fried and Christine Schäfer at the "Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin". She has participated in master classes led by Willy Decker, Thomas Quasthoff, Irwin Gage, Malcolm Martineau, Ulrike Sonntagand Wolfgang Katschner and Bo Skovhus as well as the Lied class of Wolfram Rieger and Julia Varady's opera interpretation class.
Bele Kumberger's first stage experiences include Dido in "Dido and Aeneas" by Henry Purcell at the Tempodrom Berlin, Titania in Purcells "The fairy queen", Lauretta in Puccinis "Gianni Schicchi", Poppea in Monteverdis "L'Incoronazione di Poppea" and Pamina/Susanna in "Warten auf Mozart" directed by Vera Nemirova at the HfM Berlin.
She sang with the "Lautten Compagney Berlin" under the direction of Wolfgang Katschner at the "Konzerthaus Berlin" in 2008 and performed in the "3. Encuentro de Música Religiosa de Caja Canarias". Additionally, she has had recitals.
In 2010, Bele Kumberger sang the part of Ariene in Scarlattis opera "Penelope la Casta" at the Wdr in Köln with the "Lautten Compagney Berlin" which resulted in a Cd recording.
Bele Kumberger received the "Kulturförderpreis" from the city of Straubing and has been a scholarship recipient of the Yehudi Menuhin foundation since 2009 and the Juetting foundation since 2010.
In 2011 and 2012 she sang the "Titelpartie" in Carl Orffs "Die Kluge" at the "Carl Orff Festspiele Andechs" and Hartwige in Ermanno Wolf-Ferraris "Aschenputtel" at the "Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin".
In 2012 she debuted as Pamina in Mozarts "Die Zauberflöte" and as Adele in Johann Strauss' "Die Fledermaus".
Bele Kumberger's concert repertoire includes Bach's "Johannespassion", "Matthäuspassion and "Weihnachtsoratorium", Beethoven's "Messe C-Dur, Op. 86", Mozart's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria and Magnificat. Besides, she is a dedicated recitalist with a Lied repertoire including Fauré, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Strauss and Wolf.
Her discography includes Hindemiths Tuttifäntchen [Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin/cpo], Bocks Anatevka [Oehms] and Wagners Parsifal [Staatskapelle Dresden/Deutsche Grammophon].
